Mexico

The start of a new adventure. We sold our house and quit our jobs to explore the world with the 3 of us. First destination: Mexico. We fell in love with the culture, the people and the food (of course!).

MEXICO CITY

You have different neighborhoods. My favourite is: Condesa, Roma, Juarez. Polanco is good for shopping & you can find good restaurants such as the famous Pujol (one of the best restaurants in the world)

YUCATAN – TULUM

TO EAT

If you are looking for a babysit we had a good experience with Sitters of the Caribbean

YUCATAN – VALLADOLID

We only stayed one afternoon in Valladolid. It’s a beautiful city. I would sleep there instead of Merida. Merida is nice but too touristic in high season.

We had a healthy lunch at Yerbabuena

From Tulum to Valladolid you can to stop at the Ruins of Coba. If you want to sleep in Coba then is Coqui Coqui a must do.

YUCATAN -MERIDA

  • Chichen Itza
  • Uxmal Mayan Ruins
  • Go and swim in crystal water of a cenote. We went to Cenote San Ignacio but you have plenty of Cenotes
  • Go and have lunch at Hacienda San Pedro Ochil
  • Go Celestun to see the flamingos. You can also sleep in Hotel San Julio, just on the beach.

  • Playa Carrizalillo
  • Playa de Zicatela
  • Whale and dolphin watching with Eco Adventures Puerto Escondido
  • Go to playa Bacocho around 5pm to release the turtles

One hour drive from Puerto Escondido you have 2 beautiful beaches:                      Mazunte and San Agustinllo

You can sleep there at Casa Pan de Miel or Casa Bagus

You can fly from Puerto Escondido to Oaxaca with Aerotucan just 30 min instead of 7 houres with the bus or car.
